Mills Family Margarita

INGREDIENTS

Mixer:

  • 2 cups water

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1/2 cup lime juice (4 limes)

  • 1/2 cup lemon juice (2 lemons)

Per Drink:

  • salt for rim

  • 1.5 oz Tequila

  • .5 oz Cointreau

  • ice

  • 4 oz mixer

SERVINGS: 4 (mixer)

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Combine first 2 ingredients in a pot then cook on the stove to melt sugar. Let cool.

  2. Once water/sugar mixture is cool add the lime and lemon juice to the mixture and store in refrigerator until ready to use.

  3. Wet and dip margarita glass rim in salt.

  4. Add ice to shaker along with 1.5 oz tequila, 1/2 oz Cointreau and 4 oz mixer. Shake and then pour into margarita glass.
