A Rick Rush Sirloin

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1+1/4” thick sirloin

  • salt

  • coarse ground pepper

  • garlic powder

Note: Charcoal grilling is preferable.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Preheat grill to 400 degrees

  2. Once the coals have ashed over, disperse evenly

  3. Steak should not be cooked beyond medium rare, as is his (correct) opinion

  4. Grill 3 minutes per side, check internal temp with probe, internal temp is 120-125 degrees for ‘rare’, 130-135 for ‘medium-rare’, and 135 and higher for ‘ruined’.

  5. continue to cook steak 1 minute per side until desired temp is reached

  6. Pull steak from grill, let rest 5-10 minutes before serving

  7. Pair with a dry red wine and enjoy!
